With a potential expansion of the Hacksburg facilities, one of the new rooms in the expansions has been decided to be a Podcast Recording Studio and AV Lab. This page is to assist in the design of said space.
Equipment Needed
- Sound Proofing
- Computer
- Use one of the Torc donated ones. Need to get specs to see what upgrades needed.
- Software
- Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) - If we add Video Podcast Capability - $0 (Open Source)
- Audio Interface
- Microphones
- Cameras - if we want video podcast recording
- Additional Lighting?
- Furniture
- Desk for Computer
- Desk for Recording gear - size dependent # of people
- Chairs
- 1 for computer desk
- 1-4 for recording desk
Suggested Phases
- Phase 1
In Phase 1, we build a barebones recording studio with the basics - no camera for video recording
- Phase 2
In Phase 2, we add video capabilities
