Workflow

The Bambu printer does not support OctoPrint, so it must be used with the Bambu Studio software and/or app. We recommend using the built-in settings and profiles for most prints. Advanced users can download OrcaSlicer, a FOSS fork of Bambu Studio with advanced features and built in calibration options.

  1. Import your model(s) into the slicer software
  2. Arrange the models on the bed. Certain orientations can speed up printing or improve strength.
  3. Select the slicing options:
    • Bed type (textured or smooth)
    • Material (PLA, PETG, etc)
    • Layer height preset ("0.12 Fine", "0.20 Standard", etc)
      • These settings can be modified if needed, but the presets are a good place to start.
  4. Slice the model
  5. Send to printer
    • Required the printer sign-in information which will be given after completing training.
  6. Monitor the print until it is completed. This can be done in person, through the slicer software, or through the Bambu Handy app.
