Notes from last insurance quote with different vendor

  • Participants should submit a signed participation waiver that includes hold harmless language.
  • Youth participants should submit a signed permission slip and participation waiver that includes hold harmless language.
  • When hosting events, the nonprofit should confirm that participating vendors have general liability insurance and name our nonprofit as additional insured.
  • It is a requirement when the nonprofit has non-owned auto coverage, that the organization verify that their employees and/or volunteers carry personal auto insurance regardless of whether they transport clients in personal autos or not. Please confirm this will be implemented to bind coverage.
  • Confirm there is an approved dust collection system, fire suppression mechanism, appropriate number of fire extinguishers and alarms in the building prior to binding.
  • Please provide more information about the safety classes required to operate the equipment, the experience of the foreman that will oversee clients when using the space and whether or not they are selling items.
  • Are safety glasses being always worn, while near any machinery, whether the participant is using the machinery or just observing?
  • Confirmation that any participant under the age of 18 is being supervised while using any machinery.
