  3. Business
    1. Purchasing
      1. 3D printer is here!
      2. Laser cutter!
        1. John H: Not much use for the rotary attachment
        2. Cameron: 4th axis doesn't seem useful; more powerful tool with bigger area is favorable, Epilog support may not be worth the price premium
        3. Carl is in favor of larger machine; 40W are desktop machines, 80W has a bigger build area
        4. Andrew is in favor of the more powerful machines; we can always turn down the machine for smaller jobs/longer life
        5. Max: 70-80W class is a good option for the group's needs, machines with a viewport would be handy
      3. Work tables
        1. Brent would be up for building them this weekend if others would join him (date/time flexible); need a truck to haul wood
      4. Wood lathe
        1. Contact from Will, he's working on it
        2. Will pick up metal lathe, drop off tools rest and parts list for wood lathe
      5. Vacuum former
        1. Drill bits for drilling vacuum plate have showed up
        2. Cameron has been commissioned to do pottery hooks; should be done in the next few weeks
        3. Carl is working on the heater box
    2. DBI membership renewed, but Accelerate Blacksburg is on hold for lack of activity
    3. Maker club on campus – Max will look into it
    4. Andrew's leaving
  4. What are you working on?
    1. Jenn fixed her car!
    2. Max: scanning tunneling microscope, made at Philadelphia hackathon
